A rollicking bunch of landlubbers from the east coast of Wales
Hay Shantymen sing traditional and modern songs of the sea with wit, warmth and gusto. They have been performing since 2018 and, to date, have raised around £20,000 for their chosen charity, the RNLI.
They have performed at major events including Falmouth and Port Isaac Shanty Festivals, the Latitude Festival and, of course, every year at the Hay Literature Festival, attracting ever increasing audiences every time. Their arrangements and harmonies are stronger than ever and are sung with a sense of lively friendship that engages audiences from intimate pubs to large festival stages.
